RDD Online Privacy Policy

RDD Online is committed to respecting and protecting your privacy. This privacy policy describes how we process your personal information, what information we store, how we keep it secure and the conditions under which we may disclose it to others.

Personal Information

There are several areas on the RDD Online website that allow Users to submit requests via a web form or e-mail.

These submissions are completely voluntary, but most require the User to submit some identifying information such as a name, postal address, telephone number, and/or e-mail address. We only collect your personal data where we believe we have a legitimate interest or a lawful purpose to do so. These reasons may include:

  • To register, communicate and provide customer support about RDD conferences
  • To manage a speaker and/or poster abstract through the RDD Publication Process
  • To administer and manage products and services we make available to you; e.g., access to RDD articles, job postings, training modules, etc.
  • To sign up for the RDD mailing list
  • To request technical support or suggest product enhancements, etc.

Passwords and user IDs entered by Users to access online publications are used to ensure that only Users with valid subscriptions are accessing the products, and to track dates and times of access to those articles for license compliance purposes. As with your user IDs and passwords for all software programs, you should keep these identifiers in a secure location and only disclose them to others with a need to know. You should also make sure to sign off when you are finished using the site to prevent unauthorized access.

Financial Details

The RDD Online website does not itself request, store or process any User's financial details. When a User wishes to make a payment online by credit card, they are transferred to a secure online payment processor (such as PayPal or Stripe). The RDD Online website may pass information to the online payment processor that is required to prevent the User from having to re-enter such information, e.g. Name, Billing Address, etc. The RDD Online website only receives from the online payment processor confirmation that an online payment has been successful or not and a reference number.

Any Financial Details handled by RDD conference staff (for example, in order to process payments by Wire Transfer, Offline Credit Card, etc.) are handled in a PCI secure manner as validated by Sysnet Global Solutions (Our Assurance Card is shown to the right of this page).

Data Retention

We will retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes we collected it for, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements.

Information Sharing and Disclosure

RDD Online shares limited personally identifiable data with its conference co-organizers for the sole purpose of contacting potential attendees, sponsors, exhibitors, and other participants with details concerning upcoming Respiratory Drug Delivery conferences (RDD USA, RDD Europe, RDD Asia).

When you register to attend an RDD conference, your first and last names, company and country will automatically appear on the registered delegate list and shared with other registered delegates and conference sponsors, who may contact you during or after the event takes place. If you want to remain anonymous and not share these data with other delegates, sponsors or exhibitors, please inform us by email

RDD Online does not sell, share or disclose information to any other outside parties. RDD Online reserves the right to disclose any information, if such action is necessary to conform to the requirements of law, or to protect and defend the legal rights or property of RDD Online, the website or its users.
